Quiche
Serve with Buller Wines Beverford Chardonnay
Ingredients
4 Rashers of Bacon
4 eggs
1/2 cup cream
1 cup milk
1 cup grated cheese (vintage tasty)
1 onion sliced
1 or 2 zucchinis grated
Salt and pepper
Short crust pastry
Method
Line a quiche dish with short crust pastry and blind bake as per pastry instructions.
Cook
the bacon in a frying pan until well cooked, add the onions and cook
until soft, then add zucchini and continue to cook until most of the
moisture has evaporated then let cool.
Beat the eggs then add the cream and milk when combined add the cheese, salt and pepper and the bacon mixture stir well.
Pour
mixture into baked pastry shell and cook in oven on medium heat until
the top is golden and an inserted knife comes out clean.
