The Calliope Shiraz 2007 is employed with traditional winemaking techniques, the wine is hand plunged in open vat fermenters to maximise the extraction of colour, tannin and intensity. Maturation is in oak puncheons for two years, imparting soft tannins that complement the fruit flavour.
Buller Calliope Shiraz has an almost opaque black showing dark crimson at the rim with viscous legs. It has intense aroma and flavours of sweet black berry fruits that are later joined by big grippy tannins.
