We are pleased to welcome Tohu (pronounced Tor-who) to the Buller Wines Family.
In the tradition of the ANZAC spirit of endurance, courage, ingenuity, good humour and of course,
mateship, we are embarking on a joint Trans-Tasman distribution arrangement.
This
reciprocal distribution agreement will see the Tohu brand distributed
exclusively in the state of Victoria by Buller Wines and Buller Wines
being represented throughout New Zealand by Kono Beverages (Tohu Wines
parent company).
Tohu Wines are produced by the world's first Maori owned wine company.
Since
1998 they have been making their mark on the world with wines produced
from two of New Zealand's premier grape growing regions: Marlborough and
Nelson.
The Awatere Vineyard is the flagship vineyard for the Tohu brand.
It is over 30km inland and 230m above sea level.
The
ancient stony soils, cool nights and long ripening season means the
wines are intenstely aromatic with an elegant minerality on the
palate.Tohu wines' respect for the land, embodied by their Sustainable
Winegrowers Certification, has rewarded them with an exceptional range
of wines.
